Happy Hump Day! I took a little break from blogging for a few days so that I could enjoy my weekend. Erm and I celebrated Valentine’s Day on Sunday. I came home from a birthday party on Saturday to flowers and chocolates Tulips, to be exact. They are my favorite.
Tip: If you want your tulips to stand up straight, poke a small hole in the stem, right under the flower. I have no idea why this works, but I’ve been doing it for years.
Sunday morning I got up early to get in a long run. I was supposed to do 7 miles, but in the interest of time and my hip, I cut it down to 6. My hip has been bothering me and I think its because I’m running more and stretching less. Whoops. I ran my 6 miles in 59:50, which is good, but not great. I have some short races coming up, but the big one is in April, so I have time to work on my legs.
Our unconventional Valentine’s Day was spent doing one of my favorite things, at the Celtics game!
And with that getup, I still didn’t get on the jumbotron. Its clearly rigged.
Actually Valentine’s Day was spent with a quiet night at home. I made dinner and we relaxed. What says Valentine’s Day more than this collection?
The flowers on the right are from my father-in-law. No question where Erm got his skills from.
Do you like Valentine’s Day? Have you ever had to cut a long run short? Why?
